Jukeboxes had visuals which would play when song selected. They were mainly perfomative and held no narrative
1960s- Beatles feature length and Bob Dylan created the iconic 'subterranean homesick blues' music video
1970s- New softwares introduced special effects
Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' used ground breaking high budget technology that entertained audiences with enticing special effects
1980s- MTV
MTV played music videos 24/7 so many artists created them to gain publicity. Micheal Jackson created Thriller in 1983 which was a hit with MTV due to its 13 minute length. Beginning of music videos being a cultural integrity to music.
